Note 1: In line with The Design & Technology Association’s guided hours, each portable power tool takes approx. 1 hour to complete and it is usually possible to cover up to 6 tools in a full day as a ‘bespoke’ training course, tailored to your particular needs.
A typical day runs from 08:30 to 16:00, including starter and plenary tasks.
Wherever possible, we recommend hosting the training at your own school or college, using your own portable power tools – this ensures the session is highly relevant to your site team.
During the S11HS training each portable power tool is discussed in depth and a range of maintenance activities are also carried out, as required.
Note 2: The trainer will also provide an additional set of portable power tools in order to maximise delegates’ practical use of the equipment.
After the session, delegates receive a digital download pack which includes current legislation, guidance materials and a range of editable H&S resources.
All the activities meet current D&T Association Training Standards.
Book today to ensure your site team is confident and compliant when using portable power tools – practical, hands-on training delivered by experienced D&T Health & Safety Consultants.
